Notes: I embroidered with about 4 different stiches. Satin stiches for the leaves, chain stich for the little bit at the top that is under the netting, french knots, and the split stich for most of the outling. To do the parts wear the gold shows, I first stich around it and then used small sharp scissors to cut out the top layer of fabric, revealing the gold underlayer. All in all it took me almost 55hrs to embroider.

Fabric: I embroidered on three layers of fabric: 1. Off-white decor fabric the same as the jupe, 2. Gold metallic fabric & 3. Cotten lining.

Materials: Crochet thread, glass seed beads, small flat sequins, 6mm pearls, 4mm pearls, 1pkg middy braid, 1pkg 1/4" wide twill tape, 3/16" wide twist cording and netting.

Pattern: Butterick 3640, I used the two front piece of the bodice for the stomacher and remove the center seam. I then transfered the pattern below on the fabric with a quilters pencil and embroidered the design over the pencil. When I was done embroidery it, I line the stomacher like you would a pillow before stuffing it and added the lace at the top.

Below is the pattern of the embroidery on the stomacher that I drew up from studying the excellent reference photos from willofasparrow.com

•The colored yellow parts are where the ivory fabric has been cut away to reveal the gold fabric underneath.

•Small black dots—french-knots.

•Yellow dots—gold seed beads.

•Yellow dots with hole in center—gold sequins

•White circles—pearls (there are two different sizes).

If you use my pattern or have any questions about it I would love to hear from you!

Also if you want, I can send you the original photoshop document.
