Civil War Ball Gown

Another ball gown I made for the Civil War Ball that I go to every year.

Fabrics: Peacock blue taffeta and chiffon, and also cream lace

Pattern: Simplicity 5724 and McCalls 4109 for the bodice and for the skirt I based it off of Simplicity 5724

I used ruffled petticoat and a hoop skirt under the gown to give it its shape. I bought mine online; it has six hoops and is about 148" in diameter
