Construction notes: For the embroidery of the coat I used the wider crochet thread and dyed it to the two colors I needed. I lined all the velvet pieces with a stable fabric and drew out by hand the embroidery design on the back it. I then twisted the blue and copper crochet thread as I went, following the design on the back, stitching the cording down with a couching stitch.
