Fray Check used on edges of fabric

Construction notes: On the bodice overset I hand-stitched dark blue sequins in the upside down triangle pattern. Each sequin is held on by one navy blue bead. The cording was hand-embroidered on using the couching stitch. When all the embroidery was done I hand-sewed the overset to the front of the bodice.

On the real gown they used two rows of the cording on all the designs. The cording I bought was way too thick so I could only sew on one row of cording. I would have used thinner cording in the first place, but all the cording I could find was the thicker kind. It wasn't until after I started my embroidery that I found thinner cording on the internet. If anyone is interested MJtrim.com sells the right size cording and comes in a variety of colors.
