Fabric: Navy Blue Satin

Pattern Used: I heavily modified the Simplicity 8881 (historical costume) pattern for the bodice part. For the outer and inner sleeves I drafted my own pattern.

Construction Notes: I embroidered the bodice overset with dark blue sequins held on by one blue bead each and navy blue cording sewn on using the couching stitch. I then hand-sewed it onto the bodice. The sleeve oversets were also embroiderd with cording and hand-sewn to the outer sleeves.

The whole bodice is completely with two layers of cotton and one layer interfacing to stiffen it.

I used featherlyte bonning in the front two seams of the bodice and also in the back seam where the rivets are.
